Improve workplace morale with gifts that empower and build accountability.

Simple Intentions was founded in 2009 with the intention to make people feel empowered by publishing employee development curriculum focused on work-life balance and stress management. In 2011 the company expanded to focus on developing new ways to enhance employee morale, build team engagement and strengthen business relationships.

With a commitment to empower employees around topics that most professionals struggle with, company founders Jae Ellard and Hannah Wygal selected experts on topics such as personal brand, public speaking, coaching and parenting in addition to work-life balance and stress management to create a new type of business book with design rich, meaningful content that can be self-directed or supported by group coaching conversations.

To carry the themes and messages in the books forward, Jae and Hannah produce gifts such as lined notebooks and desk accessories, each printed with an intention to make the recipient of the gift feel empowered. Perfect for employee recognition, client acknowledgment, thank you, and holiday gifts, the products are favors with purpose that people remember receiving.

Located in Kirkland Washington, Simple Intentions prints and mindfully manufactures all products in the United States.

Jae Ellard
In 2008 Jae Ellard founded WLB Consulting Group with the mission to empower 10 million people to make the choice to own their lives. After 4 years in senior communication roles, working countless hours crafting messaging and online content for executives at Microsoft, Jae collapsed from stress-related adrenal failure directly attributed to the way she was living her life. This life-altering experience propelled Jae deep into research on human behavior, neuroscience, organizational relationship systems, co-active coaching, Eastern philosophy, and leadership development. The result was two books, STOP & Think: 25 Tips for Better Work Life Balance and Spun Up: Success with Stress, along with employee development workshops designed to create employee accountability and awareness. In 2009, Jae founded Simple Intentions to publish her workbooks and create motivational “leave behind” gifts for her workshop attendees to leave them empowered and inspired long after the workshop. Jae has an extensive 17-year background in writing and communication with a master’s degree in Communication Management from Colorado State University and a bachelor’s degree in Broadcast Communication from Metropolitan State College of Denver. Jae is also the founding member of The Empowerment Alliance, a group of facilitators who provide women development solutions for corporations, and a member of the Society for Human Resource Management. She holds certificates in co-active coaching and organizational relationship systems coaching.
